Programs

Classes

There are only 4 people in a class at a time. You will be instructed individually within a class structure where each person does their own program. As a beginner you are shown how to work with the technique in the studio environment. You will learn how to use the equipment, and taught the exercises that make up your program. After a period of time you are expected to remember your exercises, how to set up the equipment, and use it safely.

The Beginners Program

This class is not for acute conditions!

An initial consult will determine if this is for you.

You receive an initial consultation plus 8 sessions. You are taught the basic building blocks of the Pilates Method. In a small class with individual attention and supervision, you will learn pilates mat & equipment exercises that begin to develop inner core stability, strength, and outer muscular flexibility. Emphasis is on awareness of posture, alignment, diaphragmatic breathing, correct muscle recruitment, coordination and relaxation.

Series 1 & 2

Prerequisite: Beginners program, or previous pilates

A pilates program will be developed for your individual needs and personal aim. You will refining and applying the basic techniques while gaining a broader range of exercises. The unique equipment assists, and at the same time challenges your ability. This method of mindful exercise gradually develops in you a dynamic core strength & stability, along with this comes true flexibility and ease of movement. Whether you are an athlete or just getting over an injury, there are very specific exercises & challenges that will target one's own level.

Active Rehab Programs

Our facility in Umina Beach has a Chiropractic Clinic and Active Rehabilitation Pilates programs for post acute injuries. Whether you have a pre existing condition, or just getting over an injury the Pilates Method can work for you. Ease of movement, heightened awareness, regenerating and maintaining better energy levels are just a few of the long term benefits that come about when working with the pilates method.
